Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior BI Engineer with expertise in sophisticated data analytics. This role is within our B2B Creativity \& Productivity (C\&P) Corporate Route To Market (RTM) Analytics \& Data Science team. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing Business Intelligence (BI) solutions and advanced analytics to provide key insights that drive strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in advanced analytics, Power BI, data modelling and SQL as well as experience in building scalable data solutions. Our team works from 2pm to 11pm IST.

*Key Responsibilities: *

*BI Solution Development:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable Power BI dashboards and reports with interactive visualizations.

*Data Modelling \& Architecture:

  • Create efficient data models and optimize ETL/ELT processes for reporting and analytics.

*SQL Development:

  • Write, optimize, and resolve problems in complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).

*Data Integration:

  • Work with structured and unstructured data from different sources, ensuring data quality and consistency.

*Performance Optimization:

  • Optimize the dashboards, DAX calculations, SQL queries, and data pipelines for performance and scalability.

*Partner Collaboration:

  • Work closely with business users, analysts, and data engineers to understand requirements and deliver insights.

*Security \& Governance:

  • Implement row-level security (RLS), role-based access control (RBAC), and ensure compliance with data governance policies.

Perform advanced analytics and demonstrate findings to effectively influence technical and non-technical partners.

*Required Qualifications: *

*Education:

  • Bachelors/Masters degree in computer science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

*Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in BI development, data visualization, and data analytics, emphasizing a solid focus on Power BI and SQL.

*Technical Skills: *

Expertise in Power BI (data modelling, DAX, Power Query, paginated reports).

Strong SQL skills for querying, optimizing, and managing large datasets.

Experience with Databricks for extensive data processing, and cloud data integration.

Experience with cloud platforms (Azure) and data warehousing solutions (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Synapse).

Proven work experience and value addition in complex data analysis applications.

*Preferred Qualifications: *

Experience with modern data lake architectures.

Familiarity with self-service BI enablement.

Effective oral and written communication and collaboration skills. The candidate should be able to communicate very effectively with partners at VP, Senior Director levels.

Think creatively about how to fix, debug, and solve complex, hard-to-reproduce problems.

Ability to adapt quickly to changing business dynamics and prioritize insights/analytics use cases will be very valuable.
