*About Vedantu and this role *
Vedantu is one of India's leading K-12 learning companies, with offerings across grades 3 to 12, and is at the pre-IPO stage. The CEO's Office sets direction for the whole company. To do that well, it needs a sharp, current view of the market from the outside in: what competitors are building, how they are performing, where funding is flowing, and which new categories are opening up.
This role exists to build that muscle. You will own Vedantu's competitive intelligence, from first-principles research to presenting what it means for Vedantu to the leadership team.
*What you'll do *
* Identify the key competitors in each of Vedantu's categories, from grade 3 to grade 12\.
* For every category, keep current each competitor's topline (revenue), bottomline (profit or burn), core strategy, and latest developments.
* Pull numbers and insights from company filings, annual reports, research databases, investor material and the news, and cross-check sources before trusting a figure.
* Find and cold-reach industry experts, former employees, founders, educators and investors; set up and run interviews; and turn each one into crisp notes.
* Track ed-tech and Indian startup developments: product launches, regulatory changes, fundraises, M\&A, and emerging categories and opportunities.
* Turn what you've found into a short readout on what changed and what it means for Vedantu.
*What you'll get *
* of a pre-IPO company. See how strategic decisions are actually made.
* Present your work to the leadership team every two weeks.
* Work one-on-one with the Chief of Staff to the CEO.
* The tracker you build becomes an input to company strategy, not a side project.
* of ₹30,000–40,000 per month, with the option to extend the internship based on performance.
*Who we're looking for *
We care more about what you've done than where you study. You're a final-year or pre-final-year undergraduate from any discipline.
*You must have: *
* At least one internship, project or piece of work where you researched a market or company, such as a consulting or VC internship, a startup strategy project, an equity research report, or a published sector teardown.
* You have spoken to customers, users or experts and turned those conversations into insight.
* You can get a stranger on a call through LinkedIn, email or your network.
* You use them to research faster, and you know where to double-check what they say.
* You can read a P\&L, find a company's revenue and profit or burn from public filings, and spot when figures don't add up.
* You can turn 20 data points into the 3 that matter and say clearly why.
* You keep things current without being chased, and you handle confidential information responsibly.
*Good to have: *
